The markets traded firmly throughout the day and ended in green on account of huge buying seen in the heavy weight stocks like Tatamotors, Reliance industries, SBIN. All the major sectoral indices ended in green, Reality and Metal counters being the highest gainers. The Nifty closed at 5,526 up 95 points after making an intra-day low of 5,378 and the Sensex was at 18,449 up 358 points after making an intra-day low of 18,064 The Mid cap and Small cap indices both were up by 1.08% and 1.26% respectively. The breadth of the market was positive and the total turnover recorded at Rs 1,20,771Cr. Nifty Feb fut ended with 11 points premium.
