Stock Market Updats Today- Tuesday 30th August 2011
Today markets continue its upward move and nifty crossed its psychological important level of 5000. Realty, metal, banking and IT leds the rally and support came from auto, healthcare and oil & gas as a result of this all sectorial indices closed in green except FMCG. The CNX Midcap index gained 1.3% and the BSE Smallcap index also gained 1.1%. The Sensex settled at 16677 which is up by 260 points, and the Nifty settled at 5001 which is also up by 81 points from previous close. Today's Tops Gainers were Sesa Goa with +10.04%, DLF Ltd. with +6.70%, Jindal Steel & Power with +5.48%, Sun Pharma. with +5.46%, HCL Technologies with +5.25%. Top Loosers were ONGC with -4.24%, GAIL (India) Ltd. with -1.52%, ITC Ltd. with -.97%, Bharat Petroleum with -.60%, Larsen & Turbo with -.33%.
