Share Market Update- Tuesday 6th September 2011
Today the Markets closed with gains following Eueopean markets opening poitive. Oil and Gas were the biggest gainers of todays trading session, IT and capital goods banking and metal also closed positive except realty. Both benchmark indices closed in green with about 0.75% gain. The CNX Midcap index closed with 0.3% gains and the BSE Smallcap index also gained 0.7% in today's trading session. The Sensex closed at 16863 which is up by 149 points from its previous close, and the Nifty settled at 5064 which is up bby 47 points. Todays Top Gainers were Ambuja Cements Ltd. with +5.05%, Reliance Inds. with +4.14%, Mahindra & Mahindra with +3.67%, Steel Authority with +3.27%, Jindal Steel & Power with +2.90%. Top Loosers were DLF Ltd. with -4.38%, Sun Pharma. with -2.23%, Reliance Power L with -2.12%, Reliance Infrastructure with -1.96%, Grasim Inds. with -1.91%.
